Percy demands some answers

Percy walked up to the office door and knocked as loudly as he could.

"Hold on I'm busy." Was the reply, but Percy couldn't hold, so he yanked the door open and made his way angrily inside. "I told you I was..." Rick stopped mid-sentence when he saw a very angry Perseus Jackson, stood a few feet away, arms crossed, glaring at him.

"Whose this Jason?" Percy demanded, Rick blushed and turned away.

"He's no one, just this new character I made."

"Whose his god parent?"

"It's complicated." Rick sighed.

"Then explain it to me." Percy said through gritted teeth.

"Well his father is Jupiter, but Jupiter is one and the same as Zeus."
"So he's Thalia's half brother?" Percy asked.

"Well Uhh..again it's kind of..."

"Complicated? How is that complicated, he either isn't or he is."

"Well he's not her half brother. He's her full brother."

"Well you certainly kept that little secret pretty well hidden...HANG ON!" He shouted suddenly realising what was happening. "So Nico gets Bianca, Thalia gets Jason, what about me!? I've been your main character for five books! Don't I deserve something!"

"Percy just...just calm down we can talk about this rationally."

"Does he have a kick ass weapon?" Percy's voice was no longer full of anger, but hurt at being abandoned.

"Truthfully? Yes."

"Is he part of a trio, made up of himself, his best friend and a girl?" Rick hung his head.

"Yes."
"Is he more powerful than me?"

"I dunno..." Rick mumbled.

"Do you love him more than you love me?" Percy asked, tears working their way to his eyes.
"No!" Rick cried. "Of course not Percy. You got me to where I am today, you got me a movie deal, your funny, sarcastic, empathetic and a little bit stupid. Jason is none of those things. Plus After this book I'm writing a whole new book all about you."  Percy smiled.

"Really?"

"Really. Now get back to training." Rick told him as Percy walked back out the room, gently closing the door behind him. Rick sighed, and leaned against the back of the chair, that could have been a lot worse.

"I'M NOT MENTIONED IN THE NEW BOOK AT ALL!" Connor roared, almost breaking the door off its hinges and stomping into the office.

"This is going to be a looong night." Rick said, face planting the table.
